Really? This wasn't meant to be a 'gotcha' - I though Mantle was screwing around by adding the extra vertical strokes to both his 'M's. I can't imagine a forger doing something like that. Besides, the few signatures on this ball that I am sort of familiar with, look good.
1951 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball with Genuine DiMaggio, Mantle, Stengel....

Interesting. This ends tomorrow and is at $1,600. Are the sigs really clubhouse? I was just intrigued by the extra vertical lines in Mantle's 'M's, thinking maybe he did it to be funny.
