Cards aren't really important at a time like this but they were a big part of Dan and his dad's relationship for 52 years....Dan posted a great message on Facebook about his dad's passing. He was 92. Prayers to Dan and his family during this difficult time.....

Default Please say a prayer for Dan Mckee Jr. - Pops has gone to the great card show

Dan

I have known your Dad since the early days of the Willow Grove Show. He is truly one of the finest gentleman this hobby has ever known.

GOD Bless his soul. And, GOD Bless and comfort you and your family.

WOW!

I can't thank all of you enough for all of the very dear and kind words.

Pops was very special to everyone, I have never heard a single bad word spoken about him. I was so very lucky to be so close to him and have him living with us the last 7 years.

Just reading this thread helps more than all of you can imagine, I am touched by the members here and Leon for being so kind to post this for me.

W/O Pops, I am in pieces.

Hey Dan
Our hearts go out to you and your family. You know you are one of the luckiest guys in the world to have had a Dad that was so great for so long. When your Dad left us the world was a bit dimmer place. I can't thank you enough for bringing him by my table at the National a couple years ago so I could speak with him for several minutes. What a great, great man he was. I am so glad I had the several conversations with him over the years. They just don't make them like that anymore. He reminded me so much of my grandfather in the high morals and integrity dept. RIP Pops.

Dan--

I lost my dad in 1979. I was inconsolable as he was a better man than I could ever hope to be.

But, time is a healer. I think of him often now but the painful grief of his passing has long since subsided.

Hang in there and feel free to lean on your many friends in the hobby.

Mark

Dan,
My heartfelt condolences go out to you. I only had the honor of meeting your dad once - at a National a few years ago when you were pushing him around in his wheelchair, but could tell he was a great man.
Take care,
Jim
