I know David...I think she was laughing more at the crazy nuances of card collectors. If you think about it, we obsess over what grader the case is in. A millimeter to the left or right makes someone pay $1,000 extra for the same card. We obsess over whether the label is new style or old style. We try to get all the cards in out set graded by the same grader. Heaven forbid if they happen to change the way their label looks!!

Wow big margins on those two graded cards. Set registries play a big role too.

I agree, the girlfriend is right. Rare cards I can understand. But when there are 250000 1975 George Bretts.... I don't get the price difference between an 8 and a 10.
