Well I see in the new pictures uploaded that the apparent line of darkening along the right backside I thought I was seeing is not there. Must have been a shadow after all.
Based on the $8000 spent on the 52 Mantle that was faded and worn beyond recognition, I think the asking price of $12,000 is fair. Although I have a hard time believing that the severely faded card actually sold for $5000, then $8000 a week later, and then even more...just something fishy about the sales history. But the card referenced in the OP looks pretty amazing for the 2.5 grade. I am surprised that someone has not negotiated a price by now, and the card has not been pulled by the seller. |
