I am certainly no expert in the Babe, especially his very day handwriting. What I know is that his "E"'s in his regular handwriting always look like the funky E in his signature. The R's in the OP (in Barre) may be a bit off but not terribly so, especially if there was an issue with the writing implement which seems like it may have been the case here.
