Maybe Rizzo will return the ball to the Cubs organization or MLB. Or return "a ball" (not necessarily that ball). How would anyone really know?
As the first baseman, he has access to lots of identical balls. There must have been dozens of balls (all with identical stampings/markings) used in that game alone.
