Many people have stamped the backs of reprints with a random company name to make them appear authentic and period. It's a common tactic.

I've seen pre-war cards that have been typewritten upon but never a legitimate pre-war issue with an ad done by typewriter. All of the ones I've seen were either printed (Nadja, Polar Bear, Shotwell, etc.) or stamped (Old Put, Niagara, Henry Johnson, etc.). I can't imagine someone choosing to distribute an ad in the form of baseball cards and typing each one of them individually. You could probably stamp at least 20 of them in the time it would take to do 1 by typewriter.
