As a contribution to the thread, here's a news wire photo that I find interesting. It was taken during the only game that Mantle played 2nd base in his career.

Pretty cool picture - all sorts of things wrong with this:

1) Mantle playing 2nd base

2) HOF pitcher Bob Lemon nearly getting picked off on the basepaths (though of course pitchers batted then, and Lemon was one of the best batting pitchers ever, high on home run list for pitchers, pinch-hitting a number of times etc.)

Any one know what year this was? Tried a bit to find it, wasn't 1951

Nope, two known now . I'm assuming there was a full sheet that was cut down. Not sure how many were in a sheet. I was hoping there was just one known
