old judge did an actresses line of promotional cards. while ive not seen this one in particular (never interested me) and I'm sure there are people with more knowledge on the subject - my guess would be this is part of that collection

Yes I assumed that already. I was more curious about the fact that her NAME was in fact Miss Goodwin as well. Coincidence? Member of the family?

ahh - probably should've read your entire post - or had more coffee. I'd actually assume it was a contest winner/pageant type thing, rather than a matriarch of sorts. but I'll leave the real answer to someone who invariably has beeter insights (and reading comprehension skills)

Personally, I doubt that they would do what in that time would be considered a very risqué card of a family member. Remember, these were considered sexy for that time. See how she is showing off her leg?

I don't think it would be considered risque at all. Have you seen the actress series cards? I don't find anything atypical about this one compared to them except the subject might be more interesting for baseball card guys.

It's Myra Goodwin, a vaudeville actress.

It's theater actress Myra Goodwin. She has several other tobacco card issues and cabinet photos if you do a Google image search.

Don't see this particular one listed anywhere though.

I used to collect these years ago when I was in a Lillian Russell phase. It was a cheap way to pick up lots of American 19th century real photo tobacco cards, really cheap. Kind of wish I held onto them, they are really neat.
