You have to be careful when looking at the Ebay for sale and sold listings especially on sets. When I sell a set I look at the for sale and sold listings, but it's more complicated than that. I would say that half the people have their cards graded wrong in their ad and you're competing against them and I am not including Dean's Cards in that number. Someone on here said that when you see a set offered by Dean Cards, divide it in half and it's close to market value.

I do sell on Ebay and look over all the sets that I feel I may compete against before I list it and if there are not any or not that many sets to compare mine to or its really expensive, I go to the sold section and look them over. If I have the availability, I list most of them close to the value and then let them make offers to me on that price.

I have not sold many old sets on Ebay, but the few that I did, was well worth it for me. I wish you luck.
