I'm trying to narrow the date down to see if it's possible Jim O'Rourke's brother John could be in the photo, since his name is in T.B.F.U.S. box scores in 1875.
According to author Mike Roer's book, Orator O'Rourke, The Life of a Baseball Radical, John played for the team in 1874 and 1875, and possibly in 1873. The team was also sometimes referred to as The Bridgeport Friendly United Social Club, or TBs. According to your roster notes, can you confirm whether John played for the T.B.F.U.S. club during any other year besides 1875? |
