Very few people can say that they have a mint or gem mint Ty Cobb card from his playing era. Congrats -- beautiful Cobb cards!!

thanks - yeah. "mint" vintage was never really something I was ever even attracted to the thought of. The vast majority of my collecting is mid grade. But the Black Swamp find made it reasonably affordable to enter an unheard of marketplace. and the Polo grounds cards always had a terrific appeal to me because I really enjoy B&W cards from all eras.

Match made in heaven for me.

What's the story with that American Beauty T206 that went for $33,000? Why is it so narrow? Were they cut like this?
