I am not an expert in these items, i hope that it didn’t come across that I was. it sounds like you have more experience than I do. I am simply repeating the description that I have found from other listers of these items - again, I have no personal knowledge either way and have never even opened one of these up. To me this was going to be a fun experience to see what comes out.

After this comment, I did some further research and found this ... which seems to confirm Wid’s assertion that they were aftermarket products assembled in the 60s through the early 70s. What I find particularly fascinating was that Topps saw how successful these rack packs were - and it inspired them to create rack packs of their own. Here’s the link
