Look under the sporting gum banner to right of Babe's head. Between the banner black outline and the green infill there is a distinct white line of missing ink in the 88', and far more filled in the 4'.
You can clean, but you can't remove an even amount of color ink like that, neither would it occur to a doctor simply improving a card for grade.
Absolutely the same card. the apparent difference in color is just scans cooked to different degrees. Look at the tell tale paper fiber on the back under the name towards the left and the dots near the copyright in the lower right.

Kudos to Heritage, pulled already.
