Yes, this. The service is a time warp (bad) but the prices in some cases are also a time warp (good). Plus he has some items that don�t show up very often on eBay or at auction.

Just add a risk premium, say 50%, into your calculus for the extra hassle and the chance that you will never get the item. In some cases the economics may still make sense.
