I haven't been around much lately, but I stumbled across this tonight and this was just too good to let go.

Lo and behold, the 1st (and hopefully LAST) JACKIE ROBINSON "one of one" rookie patch card.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/28426740352...ggQtr&LH_BIN=1

I don't quite know which market this guy is trying to appeal to.....?
A quick glance at the seller's "other items", and I saw about 15-20 of these hand drawn cards. A majority of them are of current/semi-current pro basketball players.

One thing is for sure, if you get THIS Jackie Robinson, it is for sure a 1/1.

His 'other items' list is oddly entertaining. Besides his 'one of ones' he has a trump chia pet, a five pack of hot sauce and whatever the heck this is.

I didn't mean to derail the Jr thread. Here's something modern but still attractive. From Graig Kreindler's Negro League Centennial Set.

And the only slabbed Jackie Robinson I own.

Here is mine. I got this from The Baseball Card Society in 1990 while I was in Thule Greenland, tracking satellites.

This card, along with the rest, are from the Feldstein find whenever that was. (I have all the BBCS docs and the receipt too from when I bought them.).
Not much in the grand scheme of things, but it is cool and it is mine.

Cheers,

This Day in Jackie History -- January 7, 1957. Jackie signs on as V.P. of Chock Full O' Nuts. Another first.
