Another nice option in that price range would be a signed card from the 50s. There's a '58 Topps (back references his '57 league MVP award) for 799 OBO:

It's the best card of the best player in the '54 Topps set (no Mick) so it will always be the pinical and be the highest in value compared to other HOFers in the set (Mays, Jackie, Clemente, Williams, etc.). Lastly, when Bonds is denied the HOF for the final time, it will effectively nullify his 'HR record/title', thus put Hank back on top as the true HR king, whom achieved it naturally to dethrone the Babe. |
