Charlie: That's a neat picture pack. I was in Cooperstown back in September & that the F.R. Woods shop is still operational.
Was saddened to learn yesterday that former Chicago White Sox ace & Cy Young Award winner Lamarr Hoyt had passed away. It reminded me back to 1983 & more specifically Game 1 of the ALCS that year (Hoyt pitched the Sox to a complete game victory). A college buddy of mine & myself made the trip down & scalped tickets to get in. One of the memories I have was that we were standing out in front of the stadium near the ticket windows and a town car pulls in near us and out walks Orioles owner Edward Bennett Williams & Larry King and I had EBW sign my program. A few years back I was able to obtain one of the carbon copies of the Sox lineup card that afternoon:
