If you have a directly hosted image, you can use the little yellow picture button (the one with the mountains and sun/moon). If I'm posting a bunch, I just use the tags: IMG in brackets, the URL, and the last bracket has the / character between the opening bracket and the I in IMG.
I don't know if this works, but take out the spaces from [ IMG ]whateverURLimage.extension[ /IMG ] It's also worth checking out image hosting sites to see if there are any with features you really like.
