Ebay listing of photo showing what appears to just be solid white tape/wrap
1989 Score also showing just a white wrist band 1989 Topps Talkin/LJN also seems to just show a white wrist band None of these images make any sense out of Topps' editing. Even the wristband painting on his arm appears to be much bigger than any wrist bands I can find images of him wearning that season.

Could only find a single other image that had the same (whitish) elbow pad coupled with athletic tape or an Ace Bandage around his biceps (and going under the elbow pad), so it's possible it was taken the same day...
