The guy in the suit has come forward years ago and confessed to the being the guy in the suit for the fake bigfoot film. The guy that "made" the film was a known fraudster. Weirdly people that want to believe in fake stuff can't be convinced it's fake and usually get mad about it when you try to tell them the truth. He has even passed a lie detector test.
