[QUOTE=Pat R;2434215]Thanks Ben. I had never seen one before either so I'm trying to find out if it's a RPD or just a one off print flaw.
On another note does anyone know what the bottom pack in these images is called. I have opened a lot of 15 count wax and cello packs but this is the first time that I have come across these. Unlike the 15 count wax and cellos that have 8 cards facing one direction and 7 facing the opposite direction with the instant win game in between the two stacks these are packed with all 15 cards facing down from the front and the instant win game is on the bottom facing up. I think from information that I found they might be grocery packs? This link might help you: https://mrpekrul.wixsite.com/narcissism/1991 In 1989, 1990 and 1991 Topps marketed cello-wrapped packs which were identical in every way to wax packs just in cello wrapping. Because the packs took up extra space, boxes were slightly larger than regular wax boxes. I don't know where these were marketed. I refer to these as wax pack variants, so as not to confused them with the standard cellos, large cellos and jumbos which would be issued in these years as well. |

The DS packs I have opened all followed the standard format Ben mentioned above.

I'm not sure exactly what you're referring to but the Desert Storm and Tiffany cards were likely a one print run so you wouldn't find many or any variations in them or their packaging. The base set however had several print runs. I haven't got into the DS or Tiffany cards much yet but from what I've seen the DS cards seem to line up with one of the base set runs while the Tiffany seems to line up with a different base print run. I believe the cello wrapped packs were also also a one print run while the wax and regular cello's had several runs and I think even the Rack packs had two different runs.

Sounds right but I cant say for sure. From COMC, I found these 12:
22 Storm Davis 31 Colby Ward 209 Ken Howell 253 Gary Templeton 474 Phil Plantier 537 Jose Lind 555 Turner Ward 614 Luis Salazar 658 Scott Aldred 733 Kelly Downs 749 Greg Harris 765 Shawon Dunston Have you ever examined these cards' base counterparts to see if, like Storm Davis, they might be found with remnants of the ® symbol showing? Here's an example for anyone who hasn't seen one.
