Day 362 – 27December 2024
I meant to share these earlier but today I am showing you two items from what I believe is the early 1970s. First, I have a pair of game worn pants from 1970 season worn by who I think is Jim Frey, the former Orioles hitting coach (1970-1979); he later had success with the KC Royals and Chicago Cubs as manager. If you look closely in the waistline, you see number 41 and a F, which was Frey’s number and believe his first initial last name. The bright orange pants are from 1970 when we had our four 20-game winners and won the World Series. The size is 34. Not sure what the 73 M16 means. I really like the Brooks Robinson Sporting Goods Label. I am not sure the belt is part of the uniform. Next, I have what I understand as a prototype uniform that belonged to Brooks Robinson. The pants are of a salmon color. Size 36 with a lable that says 5 15 then hand written has PT 65. I assume the 5 is for Brooks and PT is prototype. They are signed by Brooks Robinson. I am sure someone on here can comment about both sets of pants. Very interested in the details on the prototype colored pants. |

Day 363 – 28 December 2024
I recently completed another Set Brooks Robinson set he appeared in, which is the 1972 Pro Star Canadian. The set can be divided into a trio of 12 card sets plus the check list. The American League included 12 players including Brooks. The National League included 12 players. The Montreal Expos had 12 players, too. The Expos include the great Ken Singleton. The set comes with a checklist and a sleeve. The cards are in a post card format measuring 3.5 X 5.5 printed in Canada with a blank back, color player photo with players name in lower white border. The card included a facsimile auto. The set includes plenty of HoF’ers (Brooks, Frank Robinson, Aaron, Bench, Clemente, Marichal, Mays, McCovey, Rose, Seaver, Stargell, Jackson, Kaline, and Killebrew. The Vida Blue was my hardest card to find. All of the cards to include the checklist and an example of the red sleeve, are pictured. I have the Expos cards (12 each) but not pictured. |

Day 364 – 29 December 2024
Today and tomorrow I will show you many of the items I have written about over the year from my basement on display. I will show you the different walls. First is the door as you come down the basement with some odd items and things you see all the time. The sew on decal from the early 1960s from an All Star game is unique. You then see some of my framed stickers, signs, license plates, advertisements, bats, and photos. You also see my bobblehead cabinet and larger posters. Next, you see my curio cabinet and other signs and unique items. I tried to take a close up of the curio cabinet. Finally, you see some other signs and prints and my Oriole dinner table with related food or dining items. More tomorrow. |

I just saw where Charlie Maxwell has passed away at the age of 97. While Charlie had a nice 14 year career, mostly with the Tigers and White Sox, he did appear in 4 games for the Orioles in 1955.
Here's a couple postcards. It's not easy to find photos of some of the short time Orioles from the 1950's, in an O's uniform. George Brace 25 - Copy.jpg |

Next, you see my pennants from the Orioles and All Star Games Brooks played in. Then, more photos and signs, Next, another wall of items (Orioles Post Perforated Panel, Cuellar Coin, sign from 1966 WS, and a shelf with miscellaneous items. Then, you see my memorial stadium seats with game used items, pennants, cards, signs, and locker room name tags. Finally, my kitchen with a few items. |
