Default Info requests on autographs.

Hey everyone. Long time member here. I am not an autograph collector and I am not the owner, or trying to buy or sell these.

Someone I don’t know very well but who knows I am “into cards” contacted me about somethings they inherited recently. Her Dad had a few cards in screw downs like an 85 McGwire and few early football cards.

The football cards are nice but none worth more than $150. I encouraged her to keep them and pass them on.

He also left these pages and balls with autographs. Obviously, he was a big Tigers fan. I don’t collect autographs and I hope she will keep the balls, but I said I would see what I could find out about them. I recognize a few signature like Brown, Kaline and Cash, but not many of the others. My best “guess” is a team signed ball from the early 70’s.

Any opinions, identifications or value assessments would be appreciated.

Again, I don’t own them and don’t want to. I also don’t have the power to sell them and am not looking to “flip” anything in some kind of deal. I am simply trying to help someone who is totally uneducated on autographs.

Thank you to anyone for your time and expertise.

I hadn't thought of that, but it does. All black ink is strange.

Why did they do this, and any idea when it would have been made?
Any insight on the paper ones?

What about the second ball? The one she is holding that looks faded?
My uneducated guess is that her Dad went to a game in 73-74 and got some in person but not the big two which would have been Cash and Kaline. Then he bought the printed team ball in the gift shop. It’s a shame he didn’t get Kaline on paper that could be a cut.

Second ball looks stamped too.

The paper autographs is a mix of Tigers and Lions.

The last one, Charlie Sanders, is a hall of fame tight end for the Lions.

Second sheet is Jim Northrup, Joe Coleman, Gates Brown. Those are good autos.

I actually was thinking that the last auto might be a bizarre version of Pirates/Angels catcher Charlie Sands, but Steve Dawson as usual set it straight.
