I believe you had to be serving in the military to compete in the modern pentathlon as only men and military could compete in the equestrian events from the start in 1912 until 1948. This is still an event though the individual events have changed. I am working on the 1912 Stockholm set. I currently have 71 of at least 295 in the set. One of mine has two different poses of an American shooter. I also just won one on ebay yesterday to make 72.
