To be clear: yes, being honest and paying my taxes is important.
If the AH issues a 1099, that would easily answer the question. If they don't, I want to make sure I pay the taxes in the correct year. A 2026 deposit into my bank account might get treated as 2026 income...even if I paid the taxes with my 2025 return. Again, the accrual method of accounting doesn't factor into my tax situation at all.
