Update on the Kayos. I listed my Toney for sale and it shot out the door in a few hours. The Williams is listed on eBay.

Any thoughts on the Boxing Ringwalk cards being continually listed on ebay by the same seller?
The listings includes a Donald Trump card that should NOT be part of the set. (song is not on CD, won election AFTER the set was released). Unknown card before the seller started listing the cards. I'm not aware of any 2nd printing of the ultra-rare original set that was only released by only 1 or 2 copies given to 50 different media organizations for free give-a-ways. (maybe 75-100 sets produced) |

Buyer beware on the Ringwalk cards being listed. The Donald Trump card is suspicious. Maybe a 2nd printing of some type, but no info from the company. Strange that only one person has these, and has a quantity as well.

Phony as a three-dollar bill. As are the rest of the Ringwalk cards being sold by that seller. Here is a genuine (mine) Mickey Ward:
![]() Here is the Ward that this seller is offering: ![]() 2nd generation print. The lack of clarity in Ward's image and the oversized borders are the telltale signs. These auctions are going to hurt a lot of collectors, IMO.

I figured they were fake. The "new" Donald Trump card was a tip-off.
The pure white borders/background is also a give-a-way that they are fakes. Some buyers have paid big money for some of the cards. |

The red ink is a lot darker on the fake Ward card.

The Rocky Balboa card being listed wasn't part of the original set, as well.
I hope none of these get past the grading companies. |

Did anyone notice the seller name? Garbage Archive. You can’t make this stuff up.

This latest fake went for $297.
Five of the Fury cards have sold in the last 90 days from this same seller at progressively lower prices. Does it really seem likely that Garbage Archive had five or more sets of these cards? Wanna bet on whether more are offered in coming weeks until he destroys the market?

I'd guess he will continually list as long as there are buyers.
Mike Tyson sold for $5.50, and Ali sold for $1.25, so I think buyers are starting to realize these are fake. |

Mr. Garbage has yet another run of cards up for sale, this time as BINS. So far, he's sold through five sets of these alleged cards. Killed the market in the process.
My concern is that ignorant slabbers are going to authenticate them and the cards will then end up on the secondary market again as high grade (fake) cards. I've taken down the two genuine cards I had for sale. No point in trying when there are so many cheap fakes in the price history now. I know at least two of the TPGs have personnel who read this board. Guys, please warn your staff about these cards. I can provide scans of genuine cards for reference.

Damn, I've never had any of these Ringwalk cards, but this is gross.
You want to make a fantasy set. Fine! Boxing fans aren't picky when there's not a lot to choose from. I'm am very annoyed when those are purposefully mis-dated to make them seem like "Rookie" cards, when they are decades away from being so...fantasy or not. This is another level. Purposefully designed after a well known modern rare set. A combination of forgery and fantasy with the extra subjects thrown in, just to rub it in everybody's face. Some of the "Sold" prices are insane. Hell, I'd have thought they were insane if they weren't counterfeit...but what the hell would I know. https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_dkr...lete=1&_sop=16 Pretty sickening!

Interesting. Stumbled across this. Conned somebody into a Private Sale of a "Full Set" of fakes, just a couple weeks ago.

I just compared the original set, to the set recently sold on ebay.
The recently sold set has cards of Donald Trump, Rocky Balboa, Carl Frampton, and Anthony Joshua. All four card weren't previously checklisted. I can't find any reference that any of these 4 cards existed before the seller recently started listed them. Anyone else have an original set to compare? (I think 2 or 3 sets were split up for ebay maybe a year or two after the set came out) |

I took a look at this seller's eBay page. I don't know anything about fake boxing cards; however, images like this leave me less than inspired.
If something in my house looked like that, I'd scrub my hands after throwing it away. Maybe vintage food collectors aren't quite as OCD as me.

Looks like the Ringwalk cards are legit.
Seller posted this video 4 years ago, showing him opening a package which included what looks like 7 or 8 CD's, and I assume the same number of sets (shipped loose, wrapped in rubber bands). Maybe the record company or Top Trumps Company had extra stock(?) of the CD's/sets, and they eventually made it to the secondary market. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UMEKY0Xogmo |

Possibly. I'd like to find someone with the original set to compare if it has the 4 extra cards. I've always thought my original set was complete.
If it is a re-issue, there might be slight changes in the graphics/colors/stock noticeable with the cards in hand. |

After some digging, Rocky Balboa/Carl Frampton/Anthony Joshua were part of the original set.
Still can't find a reference to Trump, but I'd guess he was in the set as well. If you ordered the CD direct from the record company (Split Records), they would include cards with the order (not sure if they sent full sets) There was also a card of Paddy Considine. Paddy received the cards to give away. I think it may have been extra to the set, and not distributed with the other cards (the ebay seller hasn't listed it) |

I'm betting on reissue or reprint. Trump doesn't make sense. The CD and cards were issued shortly after the 2016 election. Not enough time to generate a card. A year or two later, sure.
I just have to wonder why there were no cards offered for sale for so many years, then suddenly these appear. Are there more caches out there or are these like the lot of red bordered 1991 Kayos that popped up a few years ago? Regardless, he's flooded the market for the set for the foreseeable future.

It would be interesting to see an older version and one of his, in hand, to see if the colors are really that different next to each other, or if it's just the contrast turned up on his scanner.
It didn't register to me at first that this was a Top Trumps issue. They are a big toy company, and it doesn't make much sense for this run to be so limited. I know from collecting various Top Trumps and Top Trumps type F1 and other sports sets through the years, I've always suspected some of their print runs extended beyond a single year. I take back my forgery/counterfeit speculation...I think it's either leaning towards "not as rare as initially thought"...or re-issue/multiple print runs.

The seller listed another batch of the cards. According to his videos and past listings he should have about 20 sets left (just an uneducated guess).
His listings now are ultra-high priced buy-it-now listings, I guess to see if anyone bites. If his prices become reasonable, I might grab a card to compare. I agree it may be a 2nd/later printing. But it's also possible the record company had a large quantity of the cards, and not many of the cards found their way to ebay, etc. I'd expect most of the buyers of the CD who received the cards to be from the UK. A second printing may also be near-identical to the original. |
