Has anyone ever come across a 1961 Nu-Card Baseball Scoops case? Or have any insight into how the boxes were originally distributed?

Can’t answer your question but I have always loved that set. As a kid at the age of 13, I bought my first card at a flea market. It got me knowledgeable about baseball history.
I love that the set starts with number 400 and that the photos are black and white with that touch of red ink. Under appropriated set |

As a kid, I bought all my Topps packs at a small market near our house, or at a drug store a little further away. However, a hardware store close to the market sold both the Scoops packs and later the 61 Fleer Basketball. I was able to nearly complete both of these sets through packs.

I did run across someone selling a case of Scoops or most of it by the box in 1976. It was a card Show in Silver Spring MD. Been awhile but I believe his name was Jay and he had a card shop in MD. He also had sets complete sets of Both Nu card sets. And I got sets.
