Default FS: Kelloggs Baseball Lot — ‘70-‘75 w/stars

Each of these cards, including the superstars, are exceptionally clean…and exceptionally cracked.

The backs and borders are clean and white. No corner damage, no creases, no stains. They were NrMt+ and awesome, now they are not.

The cracking is not handling or abuse…it is simply because I am a jackwagon and made a rookie mistake in storage. I didn’t mind my temp fluctuations and I got crackage.

Details:

22 different 1970, including Jackson, Bench, Gibson, Morgan, Killebrew, Aparicio

(2) 1971 Dobson (one really nice with no cracks or damage) and McDowell

13 different 72s including Seaver, Clemente, Mays, Brock, Marichal

15 different ‘75s including Bench, Morgan, White, Hunter, Evans, Garvey Fingers

$110 shipped for the lot, net paypal.

This just makes me sad haha. As a Kellogg's collector, I know the struggle is real. I was unreasonably excited that my most recent eBay purchase of one of the last three I need for my second NRMT set of '71s arrived well packaged. I has a little curl, but the seller did not stick it in a toploader and call it a day, but packaged it carefully to avoid cracking.

Best of luck with your sale and Kelllogg's collecing.

I will likely be in therapy because of these damn things….

I store them in card savers which to me, accommodated the modest curl without undue pressure on the card. It was my failure to store them in a hyperbaric chamber with a double-secret probation barometric warning system that got me 🤪

Definite oversight there haha. The PSA 9s-10s that are cracked all to heck crack me up, in an evil sort of way. I have taken to using thicker, game-used card type top loaders for many of mine that aren't perfectly flat to try to avoid the issue. But, full disclosure, I have them stored in: toploaders, thick top loaders, card savers, sleeves only, and then just in stacks that have matching amounts of curl in plastic boxes.

To my knowledge I have only had one crack in my possession, of course it was a '71 Clemente. Ouch, lesson learned the hard way early on.
