Bob- What do you mean when you say commons get overlooked? To a veteran collector all the poses are recognizable (I think I can still name all the players looking only at the picture). Do you mean some are undervalued?
Eventually after seeing so many T206 -I figured I've handled at least 10,000- you can get a bit jaded, but enjoy them while they are still new to you. I will never forget buying my first complete set in 1984- all 520 cards, average Vg-EX, with at least one of each back- for $4000. It was perhaps one of my very favorite memories of my early years in the hobby.
