I've often wondered how many treasures may be hiding in old books. It would seem natural to me that a smoker who couldn't care less about the cards would use them for bookmarks. Any time I am at an estate auction I will flip through the old books to see if there's anything hiding inside. I did find an old photo in an 1870's religious book once, but I've never found anything substantial. |
