I own 23 W554's. About 1/3 have a light brown tint, but not as pronounced as yours. The others are B&W for sure. However, I think all of them are printed with black ink. I thought for awhile that they came in both color variations, but under a microscope the ink looks black. Here's a pic of my "brownest" W554. The one card I have with no bottom script is Joe Judge, & it's easily B&W. (I only need O'Doul to complete the set, please help!) |

Brad, here's my Grove. It's printed with black ink, but I think it's the card stock that gives it the brown appearance. Compare the backs of your two Groves, & you should see the difference. I have a scripted & unscripted Joe Judge. The unscripted card has a thinner & a fairly white looking card stock. The scripted card is of course thicker, with a "brownish" card stock. |
