| E-UNC MATTY?

Posted By: Bob Lemke Here's the second mystery card. It is sepia on cream, measures about 1-15/16" x 1-17/32" and is blank-backed. There is some lettering at top-right, under the smutz. Could be CD MA or CD PA. Is this part of one of those poster thingies that has various sized player pictures? |

| E-UNC MATTY?

Posted By: Zach I'm guessing a super small reprint. Look at the link I provided at the bottom of my post, an E300 Mathewson reprint but also like the one above is smaller than the original. It is not as small but it does prove that there are E300 reprints out there and the printers can make them any size they want. |

Posted By: fkw Since I sold it a couple years back. I only have a single picture of the 1909 sheet, I put a red square around the Mathewson picture on sheet. |

| E-UNC MATTY?

Posted By: Brian Goldner Was co-produced in the 1960's, by a couple of very prominent collectors from that time frame, Ray Billbrough and Ed Lotz. It was part of a series of sheets that were called The Classic Cards. |

| E-UNC MATTY?

Posted By: bcornell I have one of these sheets. Purchased on eBay a couple of years ago for ~$40. The seller noted that he had a bunch that came from a factory in the 60's. |

| E-UNC MATTY?

Posted By: fkw Interesting. I have only seen them 1 time in 25 years, never seen any besides the 1 on eBay (seller had 2 others that were sold sametime non-eBay). I cant see why they would make it in the 1960's without Cobb and Wagner, and have players/teams date so perfectly to early 1909? And why no identification/copyright/printer info?? Oh well. |

Posted By: Preece1 The Cobb and Wagner cards were in the 2nd series. Here is the front and back of the Cobb with a checklist. I picked this up at a Michigan show in 1975 (when I was 10). |

| E-UNC MATTY?

Posted By: bcornell Here's something from this forum about this sheet. Unfortunately, the listing can't be viewed now and I can't remember who the seller was. I do remember he left no doubt in his description that it was from the 60's, as Patrick and Brian have confirmed. |
