I won a raw one on ebay in EX+ from a guy in Germany for $70 that took a month to deliver that luckily survived the journey unscathed loose and unprotected in a plain white envelope. I'd say yours should go for $200 give or take $50. |

Hans is a really great guy... though I'm not surprised by the shipping issues. He's had some sweet cards lately, including a Josetti Ruth PSA 7 and Abdulla Ruth PSA 7 (highest graded) which he sold for $2700..... and he also had a Muratti Poynton/Ruth PSA 8 and PSA 9 that he got $1500. |

Now books for $190 NRMT on page 70 in the 2006 SCD. About 10-15 years ago (pre eBay) that card along with the Sanella cards would easily bring $1,000-$2,000 and considered rare. The Internet and eBay has brought hundreds maybe thousands of the German issues out of attics in Germany. |

A lot of the collectable European cards and postcards are sold by Eurpean, including places like Bulgaria and Czech Republic. I know of an American who bought one of those German c. 1930 Babe Ruth/Harold Lloyd postcards when he was on a business trip in Estonia. He was worried if it might be a fake, but I said it was unlikely that Estonians would be forging Babe Ruth baseball cards to sell in Estonia. |

In case people didnt know, about the German card sometimes sold as Ruth/Poynton. The card does not picture Babe Ruth, its just a guy that looks sort of like him. |

If you want an indication of its value, there's one on Ebay right now: |
