Default How Rare Is 1912 J=K Candy?

Posted By: fkw

Used to be able to find them once in a while a few years ago with no problem, because many didnt know what they are.

I once bought a group of 3 them in the 1990s for $50 ea. from Festberg when they were know as "W-Unc Name Plaque" cards

Ive owned 4 in the last 4 years including a nice Speaker. They are out there.

There are 2 types, one is B&W and was found on one side of the candy box, the second type is B&W with an orange tint and borders and this type has a diecut head that was part of the end flap of the box. The type 2's are slightly tougher to find.

There was a Speaker that sold for $628 in the Nov. 2003 Lipset auction, and a Wagner thats sold for $2,673, both about EX and both are the type 2.

PS. I sold a Speaker on eBay about 2 years ago in the $1,200 range, and a Tesreau about a year ago for about $500, both about EX and both type 2's.
