Not to hijack, but no way are W502s hand cut. They're all the same size, they've all got the same shape to the corners (square).

I'm not sure they were a candy issue - I don't think anybody knows for sure - but usually with hand-cut cards you'll find some with jagged edges, closely-cropped borders, even torn edges. I'm working on this set and trying to assemble as much research on it as I can find, and one thing I'm confident in is that they weren't strip cards.
