Is BVG really that bad?

My one experience with Beckett Grading was about 6 months ago. The cards graded about the way that I expected, but the customer service sucked. I didn't get the service that I paid for and the employee that I talked to on the phone was rude and uninformed about their specials. I had to email a scan of the ad before he admitted that they screwed up. You would have thought that they would have offered a couple of free submissions, but that didn't happen.
