Default Teddy Z and I were having an email conversation

Posted By: Damian Anderson

Just kidding. This thread is as good as a Greg Maddux change up!
My favorites...

1950 Bowman-beautiful little cards and the first set to have the distinctive "painted photos" of early to mid 50's cards
1953 Bowman-stunning photography and clean design
1955 and 1956 Topps-just love the horizontal format and art, they have such a 50's baseball feel
1962 Topps-oh those ugly woodies!! Gotta love 'em
1971 Topps-black beauties
1984 Donruss-Just a great design
1987 Topps-see 1962 Topps

Dislike...
1954 Bowman-just too drab
1968 Topps-potato sack borders. Yuck!
1981-1983 Donruss-just crappy designs
1982 Topps-some kind of disco throwback 10 years too late, nasty!
Anything after 1991-mostly just a muddle of gloss, shine, and inserts that I can't or don't care to keep track of.

Rich, thanks for the great thread!

Damian
