Curt Flood was an artist. I own a print of a painting he did of Martin Luther King Jr., the original which hangs in the MLK Museum. There is ample evidence that Curt Flood painted this and many other portraits including teammates, the Pope etc. His artistry is discussed in his autobiography and 2 or 3 other biographies of this man.
