actually art butler was the last to die in the set in 1984. I think Marquard is the most common because with the exception of flick and wheat dying in the early 70's, marquard outlived all the other hofer by decades. He was still alive when the National first started going! I remember trying to find a t207 of chester hoff to get signed in 1995 but that card was really hard to find in the pre internet days. I have a genuine mcginnity signed t206 and have had a bresnahan. Someone on here has a doyle. Someone sold one last month on ebay that was signed BY THE WRONG guy and it went for well over $100. I dont understand why there arent more though as people did get autographs frequently back than. I have 161 different signed 33 goudeys and 20 years shouldnt make much of a difference. |
