Like many here, I was saddened by the loss of David Halberstam. He was a tremendous journalist and a pretty fair writer. While I enjoyed 'Summer of '49', I preferred 'October 1964'. My favorite Halberstam book was 'Breaks of the Game', his account of a season with the Portland Trailblazers back in the Walton years. |
