Actually Orlando Cepeda came before Willie Mac and was more popular originally. It took a while before Willie Mac was accepted because he essentially played the same position as the Baby Bull. There were many Giant fans who were upset because Willie Mac was forcing Orlando into a more minor role on the Giants. |
