how to find an honest appraiser

Not sure about this whole situation, but assuming you are not pulling anyones leg...are you sure the Colgans say "25 Tin Tops" on top of back or do they state "Stars of the Diamond". If they say the latter they are not of the "Tin Top" variety but the more common E254.
