Tom Brady looks more like Joe Picarcik than Joe Montana. He's clearly hurt. Hard to believe that the Giants would outplay the Pats in the first half. Pats are very very lucky to be up.

If the Pat's win, who cares because now all this info's coming out about how they also cheated in the 2002 super bowl. To me that season and this season is already tainted, and should have a * next to it. Tom Brady is a fake. Pat fans better not say a word if they win, if they do just talk about them cheating to WIN. That's it.

It's hard to believe that it's fifty years since the Colts-Giants NFL Championship game. I remember that we were out sledding and some kid's dad had it on the radio. Ameche's touchdown was one of those bummers you always remember. Manning popping free from the scrum and Tyree looking like he was pulling one down off the boards was definitely the money play today. Someone else's bummer this time.

Great game for sure. But Barry - "greatest ever"? I dont even think it was the greatest Giants victory in a Super Bowl ever. Im a Giants fan and thought that this game was pretty boring until late in the fourth quarter. In terms of shear exitement coupled with a great ending, the Giants/Bills Super Bowl in 1991 was probably the best Ive ever seen (and luckily for me, I was actually at the game).

This win beats the Giants/Bills Super Bowl easily. The Giants won that game on a Bills' miscue. Last night's game involved three lead changes in the 4th quarter (two within the last 3 minutes), the blown perfect season, etc. -- there is no comparison.

I havent watched football regularly since about 1990 but if this was the greatest game ever that doesnt say much for football. I usually work on the super bowl but this year i had off and a ton of people were over so i was going to try to watch and i lasted about 30 seconds into the 2nd quarter and i was bored out of my mind and that included walking away a couple time sduring the 1st to stay sane. Diehard football fans at the end of the 3rd quarter told me how boring the game was and how much it sucked. If it takes 3 hours of nonsense to get to 15 minutes of excitement then i dont know how it can be considered great.

I was at the 2006 all-star game and i had a great time,but the actual game wasnt that great however it likens well to the super bowl in that the 9th inning was very exciting,seeing Trevor Hoffmann blow the lead with 3 straight 2 out hits,and then Mariano Rivera(2 guys who will be 1 and 2 on the all time saves list) shut it down despite giving up a runner and that last out from where i was sitting looked like it had a chance to drop. That was an exciting ending,overall though the game went pretty quick and like the super bowl it had 2 early scores,both solo home runs in the 2nd and then a lull

PC - to say the Giants beat the bills in 1991 on a miscue just isnt accurate at all. True, the bills missed a last second field goal - but it was from 47 yards out and was by no means a sure thing. Missing a 47 yarder is hardly a miscue - its not like fumbling a snap, etc. Second, in terms of excitement, the 1991 game was a thousand times more interesting than last nights game. In case you dont recall the game, it also involved several lead changes in the forth - the Bills took a 19-17 lead early in the fourth. The Giants reclaimed the lead late in the fourth 20-19. The Bills then went on a 70+ yard drive in the final 2 minutes leading to the missed fg with 8 seconds left. Even if the giants had lost, that game was a far better game than last nights.

Edited to add - the one point differential is still the closest game in SB history.

This win has a weird feel to it compared to the other Super Bowl wins: in those games, although I believe we were underdogs in both, the Giants were clearly great teams (especially the defenses). The Bills were a super team but hardly the Patriots of this year -- after all, 18-0! The Giants have like one Hall of Famer on this team and he's in the twilight of his career; this year's team is just not a great team in the usual sense of the word. So, it feels like a gift, unlike the other Super Bowl wins. I never expected this one. Who could?

As for the game, I think it was a great game. Even though it was low scoring it was a very tight, very nerve-wracking game and the 4th quarter was incredible. Best game ever? Probably not. But one of the top Super Bowls ever? Sure, when you add the Patriots' seemingly invincible team, the possibility of 19-0, Eli's troubled career, Peyton rooting him on...the game had a lot of context before you even get to the actual game itself.

Don't forget that the Giants opened the season 0-2 and allowed 80 points in those two losses, at the time the worst in the league. In the third game of the season, they trailed Washington 17-3 at halftime. At that moment the thought that the Giants could win the Super Bowl was incomprehensible. They looked like a team that was about to lose nearly all of their games.

To make that kind of comeback, to win 11 straight games on the road, to be trailing 14-10 with less than three minutes to go, even a cynic would have to call their season magical.

I've never seen such strong football players as I saw on the Giants' front line. All year the Patriots' offensive line was magnificent. The Giants pushed them around like so many rag dolls. It was like they had the snap count or they were keying on something, because the Pats' offense had no advantage on the snap of the ball. They looked like men of steel. It was unbelievable.
