BVS Slabs

Interesting BVS charges $3 per crackout that they do. Do the other grades do this as well? I don't think I've ever sent anything in except raw cards...other than one time to SGC where in fact they did crack something out. I don't remember being charged for that, but I think it was at the $50 level or something and maybe it just didn't apply at that point?
