Yes, there's no doubt that many vintage issues have stretched creative liberty to a near breaking point. The Play Ball sets are far from exempt in this regard! There are a couple of earlier issues which almost exclusively used improper/imaginary nicknames (and some who misspelled nearly every player's surname!). I'm sure many of you can name the sets, as I can not. It's been so long! |
