Shawn: There's a widdle iddy-biddy puka straight above Jordan's head hence the PSA Pinhole 1 designation. I am not fussy about such things. Keeps the price down.

I've posted this before, but why would any photographer think either this or the other Honus/Arky qualifies as an action shot?

And surely Honus knew to get his glove between the runner and the ball. Even Austen Lake, Boston American, knew it, and taught it to Tony Lazzeri in 1935.

Yeah, Tony was on 2nd, but the principle's exactly the same. How much better would Honus have been had he known this little trick, readily available from any Boston sportswriter? He told a Yankee, after all!

My all-time favorite:

I think this image is from the inaugural All-Star game. It is a 1936 R313, entitled "Diamond Daddies" (that's what the text in upper right says).
McGraw had retired and would only last a few more years. Mack continued to manage and put the all-time managerial wins (and losses) record well out of reach for all-time.

I'll have to ask my dad about the "out of sight" reference, but I will say...that is "rad". I can't say "bring the noise" with confidence, but I was "rad" in the eighties.
