I hear there is a Mcdonalds that's only 2.7 miles away that you can park at for free and then walk the rest of the way.

Looking forward to this event. Having just moved to Alexandria, VA, I read/heard somewhere that the National would be in Baltimore. I've never been to one before and am already making a list of my wants that I'll be poking around for.
Do you guys post a list on here as to who will be setting up shop there? I'd like to put a face to the avatars on here and see what goodies you guys have. |

My daughter is in the Air Force and stationed at FT Meade but they are buying a house in suburban Baltimore in just 2 weeks. Looks like I already have my hotel accomdations for the national!!!

If you purchase parking with your ticket order, the price range is $8-10.
I usually park in Lot F/G/H for games (which isn't that bad of a walk) and it costs $8

Matt,
The sarcasm font seems to be malfunctioning on Rob's computer. Any suggestions? |

When I was around the area in April; parking will be far more expensive than it was in Cleveland. That is also a function of being downtown and in an area which includes the Harbor and Camden Yards; etc. Downtown parking does cost more. However; similar to Chicago; if you are willing to walk a reasonable distance there is either public transportation OR cheaper parking than at the site. Those choices are up to you.
The location is about as good as one is going to get on the East Coast for accessibility so I think it is worth a shot to try a new area and see where we go. We are near Washingon, Baltimore and only 2 hours or so from Philly and about 4 hours from NY. I will say this is a much better overall location than Atlantic City was on the East Coast. I will also say; as I said a while back; that parking costs are what they are; but ADMISSION costs can be scaled back for the average collector. A varied pricing structure; while a bit of a pain; might be the best way to help both the advanced collector with not as much time or the beginning collector showing up at noon on Saturday. Rich |
