Responding to Tom's post, in the past couple of years I have had two packages lost by USPS, neither registered but both sent first class insured. Each of course had a baseball card in it.
In both cases I filled out the paperwork and was reimbursed in full. In the first instance the post office filled out their end wrong (should I be surprised?), and it took about four months until I received my check. In the second, it went really smoothly and I was paid in under a month, for the full amount of the claim plus the postage, which I hadn't even asked for. Both were rather small, probably in the $75-150 range. But I was impressed that I was paid both times. |
