Okay, we've seen a few top & bottom miscuts, how about some left & right miscuts.

I wish I was lucky enough to own these two cards, but I don't.

Martin,
Very interesting Billy Sullivan card, kind of a mashup of these two.

Default Trimmed or sheet cut?

I'm bumping this thread with a recent impulse pickup that I made. I can't tell if this Dougherty portrait is a card that was trimmed after it was distributed or if it was hand cut from a sheet and pulled aside before it ever got packaged (i.e. scrap).

Under a loupe, the edges all appear to have older wear consistent with other T206's that I have, so it says to me that the cutting was done long ago. The height and width dimensions on this card are 2-5/8"x1-1/2", not too far off from what a "standard" T206 should be (2-5/8"x1-7/16"). It does seem to be missing the red coloring on his cheeks and lips when I compare it to my other Dougherty portrait examples though.

What do you guys think? Thanks!

Card has an Old Mill back. Kind of unique that it's a different player underneath since it's blue.

Any clues who it might be? Hahahaha.....

That shade of blue looks like the Murray portrait.

It wouldn't be Murray since he's a print group 4 subject and Casey is print
group 2. There are quite a few print group 2 subjects with a darker blue top
like Knight, Quillen and Schreck.

Speaking of Dougherty, I had heard that some collectors really liked the lavender background, which mystified me, because my example always looked grayish to me. I eventually got one of the Topps cards that had the nice lavender color. My older Piedmont does look to be somewhat similarly colored to the one shown previously in this thread.
